Inverse thinking is a powerful technique for getting what you want.
It requires you to think about the opposite of what you want.
So... What would you have to do to raise a lazy child?
Here is my short list:
Never praise them for having a good work ethic.
Reprimand them often for being lazy.
Never encourage them to practice or do good work.
Allow them to not do things when they say "I don't feel like it."
Let them use excuses to get out of challenges.
Constantly remind them of character flaws and short comings.
Expect them to be lazy.
Yell at them for having a messy room.
Once you know how to get what you don't want, then you can avoid those things.
